The Xiangya School of Medicine (Furong Laboratory) of Central South University recently secured five awards at the 2023 Chinese Medical Science and Technology Awards. Out of the 79 recognized achievements, the teams led by Professor Chen Xiang from Xiangya Hospital, Professor Luo Xianghang from Xiangya Hospital, and Professor Wang Hui from the Affiliated Hunan Cancer Hospital of Xiangya School of Medicine clinched first, second, and third prizes, respectively. The “Chinese Medical Science and Technology Award” is a national science and technology award established by the Chinese Medical Association for outstanding contributions in the field of medical science and technology. The award, approved by the National Health Commission and the Ministry of Science and Technology, has been honoring exceptional achievements for 23 years, with a total of 1,906 outstanding projects recognized since its establishment in 2001.
