Xiangya School of Medicine Holds Pre-departure Training for the 2024 Yale University Clinical Rotation Exchange Program

On the morning of November 10, the pre-departure training for the 2024 Yale University Clinical Rotation Exchange Program took place successfully at the meeting room on the eighth floor of the Xiao Qian Building of Xiangya School of Medicine. Attendees included Li Xuejun,Vice Dean of Xiangya School of Medicine, Li Xinhua, Deputy Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange,Wu Zhigang, CMB Project Manager, Xie Yun, Associate Professor from the School of Foreign Languages, Li Zhongkui from the Medical Education Office, and Zhou Ziqi from the Student Affairs Office, along with 8 participating students. The meeting was chaired by Wu Zhigang.

Li Xuejun emphasized the importance of Yale University as a significant partner and urged students to enhance their innovative capabilities and professional qualities during their exchange. He encouraged them to identify future directions and career plans, broaden their global perspectives, embrace the profound heritage and cultural charm of Yale University, and contribute to the close interaction between our university and Yale, serving as a bridge for cultural exchange.

Li Xinhua, considering the current international situation, advised students to firmly establish awareness of safety precautions, improve their risk response capabilities, strictly comply with the laws and regulations of both China and the local areas abroad, and respect local customs. He also encouraged proactive communication and showcasing of Chinese traditional culture to exhibit the spirit of Xiangya students.

Xie Yun provided detailed explanations and answers to students' concerns about application matters for the program. Li Zhongkui explained issues related to students' academic performance and clinical internship arrangements, while Zhou Ziqireminded students to ensure personal and property safety, enhance political acumen, and discernment.
