On March 31, 2024, the 2024 Spring Medical Industry Graduate Supply and Demand Fair at Central South University was held smoothly at the new campus square in Xiangya, in front of the Fuqing Building. This event attracted a total of 234 participating units, spanning regions including Guangxi, Guangdong, as well as prominent establishments like tertiary hospitals, military institutions, and higher education institutions. In aggregate, over 10,000 job positions were offered, catering to graduates specializing in clinical medicine, nursing, stomatology, public health, basic medicine, and other medical disciplines. It stands as the largest-scale medical industry supply and demand fair in recent years, with the highest number of participating units from the university. Chen Lizhang, a member of the Party Committee and Vice President of Central South University, provided on-site guidance for the event.
The ambiance at the fair was dynamic, with graduates actively seeking employment opportunities. Employing methods such as independent resume submissions, perusing promotional materials, listening to on-site presentations, and engaging in interview dialogues, they gained a comprehensive understanding of employer recruitment policies and requirements, thereby establishing initial connections with potential employers.
In addition to graduating students, many lower-grade students also attended the fair, eager to gain early insights into the industry. The event even attracted students from other universities such as Hunan Normal University, Hunan University of Chinese Medicine, and Guangzhou Medical University. They expressed that participating in the fair helped them gain early insights into the supply and demand situation and future development prospects of their respective majors, aiding in their future career planning and development.
To further support graduates in enhancing their job-seeking competitiveness and to assist Xiangya students in securing satisfactory employment during the peak spring recruitment period, the fair provided heartwarming services at the "Student Counseling Center", including resume guidance, interview preparation, contract advice, and makeup styling. Additionally, a special zone for company visits and job matching was set up on-site. Relevant leaders from Xiangya School of Medicine and various secondary medical colleges, as well as employment specialists, were present to negotiate with employers, establish employment cooperation channels, understand the talent needs of companies, and accurately disseminate employment information and recommend graduates, facilitating efficient matching of supply and demand.
Central South University, with its campus as the primary recruiting avenue, actively constructs a platform for supply-demand alignment, offering graduating students diverse employment opportunities and ample room for choice. Through this encounter, Xiangya students gain a deeper and more intuitive understanding of the medical industry, fostering a reciprocal journey with prospective employers.
