To celebrate the upcoming Youth Day on May Fourth and commemorate the 105th anniversary of the May Fourth Movement, Xiangya School of Medicine of Central South University organized the "A Century's Melody: May Fourth Youth, Poetry in Motion" Fun Sports Meeting on the morning of April 27, 2024, at the Xiangya New Campus Stadium. This event, jointly organized by the Youth League Committee, Student Union, and Journalists Association of Xiangya School of Medicine, took the form of free team formation and group competitions. Its aim was to guide students in inheriting and promoting the spirit of the May Fourth Movement, while showcasing the youthful spirit of unity, cooperation, and determination among the students and faculty of Xiangya.

The event kicked off with a captivating performance by the Xiangya School of Medicine's dragon dance team. Dressed in magnificent dragon robes, the dancers moved gracefully to the rhythm of lively music, presenting a unique charm of the dragon dance to the audience.

Following this, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Xiangya School of Medicine, Wu Shiming, delivered an inspiring speech. He highlighted that the fun sports meeting was not just a platform to showcase students' interests and enthusiasm but also an opportunity for self-challenge and enriching university life. He emphasized the importance of students' active participation and encouraged them to learn teamwork and cooperation, thus fostering their growth and progress.

Subsequently, students and faculty kicked off the fun sports meeting by running a lap around the field. The event featured six exciting activities, including "Relay Tic-Tac-Toe", "Crossing the River by Touching Stones", and "The Magic of Love Circle". Amidst the laughter and cheers of teamwork and communication, students gained valuable growth experiences and created unforgettable memories of youth.

"Youth, with garments fluttering like banners of a thousand miles, and hearts filled with aspirations, will surely see their wishes fulfilled". This fun sports meeting not only significantly enriched the students' cultural and sporting experiences but also ignited a fervent passion for sports among the students of Xiangya on these spring days. Moving forward, students will carry this enthusiasm and vigor, persistently challenging themselves, striving for excellence, and collectively crafting a remarkable chapter for the students of Xiangya!
