On March 12th, Mr. Lu Deji, Manager of the Biological and Pharmaceutical Division at the Yangtze River Delta National Technology Innovation Center, led a delegation to visit and exchange ideas at Xiangya School of Medicine. The meeting took place in a conference room at Xiangya's new campus, Xiaoqian Building. Vice Dean Huang Zhijun and Executive Deputy Director of the Furong Laboratory, Mr. Xiang Bo, attended the meeting, which was chaired by Vice Dean Huang Zhijun. Representatives from the National Technology Innovation Center of the Yangtze River Delta, including Shao Tao, Zhao Kenan, Deputy Dean Zhang Yong of the Taizhou Industrial Technology Research Institute, and Secretary-General Zheng Zhe of the Hunan Biomedical Engineering Society, as well as Dong Zhuxin, Director of the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the School of Basic Medical Sciences, Central South University, and relevant colleagues from the research office of Xiangya School of Medicine, were also in attendance.
Lu Deji introduced the overall positioning, task layout, and institutional mechanisms of the National Technology Innovation Center of the Yangtze River Delta. The center aims to achieve the transformation from science to technology, with breakthroughs in key core technologies and the industrialization of major basic research achievements as its core mission, while promoting cross-regional, cross-disciplinary, and open collaborative innovation.
Huang Zhijun provided an overview of the overall research situation and future plans of Xiangya School of Medicine. Since the initiation of construction of the Furong Laboratory and the National Engineering Research Center for Individualized Diagnosis and Treatment Technology, certain achievements have been made. In the future, efforts will be made to actively explore new models, expand development space, strengthen communication with hospitals, enterprises, and other cooperating units, promote the transformation and implementation of research results, and accelerate the cultivation and development of new productive forces.
It is reported that the National Technology Innovation Center of the Yangtze River Delta has signed a framework cooperation agreement with Central South University. During the meeting, both parties conducted in-depth discussions on the implementation of cooperation and reached a consensus on establishing a stable and mutually beneficial cooperative relationship.
