On the morning of March 7th, a successful meeting focused on advancing high-quality development and talent policies for medical schools affiliated with Central South University convened at the Xiaoqian Building at Xiangya School of Medicine. Attendees included Wu Minghua, Executive Vice Dean of Xiangya School of Medicine; Peng Shifang, Director of the Hospital Management Department at Central South University; Wang Kangkai, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Xiangya School of Basic Medicine; Hu Guoqing, Dean of the Xiangya School of Public Health; Wang Honghong, Dean of the Xiangya School of Nursing; Liu Ousheng, Dean of theXiangya School of Stomatology; Zhang Zheng, Vice Dean of the Xiangya School of Pharmacy; and Hu Dehua, Vice Dean of the Xiangya School of Life Sciences. The meeting was moderated by Liu Hong, Vice Dean of Xiangya School of Medicine.

Vice Dean Liu Hong commenced the meeting with a succinct overview of the current status of high-quality development and talent-related policies and initiatives within the medical schools. He underscored the pivotal role of talent in propelling the schools' advancement.

During the subsequent discussion session, leaders from each school offered insights and suggestions from various angles to foster high-quality development within the medical schools. Key topics explored included strategic planning for discipline construction, reforms in talent recruitment systems, and the enhancement of talent cultivation frameworks.

In closing, Executive Vice Dean Wu Minghua and Director Peng Shifang lauded the collaborative spirit and shared commitment to development evident in the meeting. They emphasized the necessity of unified efforts going forward, aiming for higher standards and tangible measures to drive forward the high-quality development of Xiangya School of Medicine.
